[It's been quite the interesting morning today, and it's only just started as of a couple of hours ago; clearly, there are things to be done and not much time to do them in, and Kimblee doesn't see much sense in wasting time.

[Isaac has been on edge since this whole mess started, so it's no surprise that he's a little jumpy when Kimblee shows up.]

[By contrast, Kimblee doesn't seem riled at all; quite the opposite, actually.]

I believe we may have a plan for the trial today.

[glaciates]

That's good to hear. Who are we targeting?

[If Kimblee's seeking him out to tell him about it, that means that this is going to involve some work, isn't it?]

Fulbright, technically, though we aren't exactly targeting anyone.

According to Mr. Banjou, we're going to let Mr. Tsukiyama do it.

[glaciates]

Oh really? That's interesting.

[Isaac doesn't look pleased, exactly, but he does look interested.]

How does Banjou plan on getting him to do that?

[fauxlosophical]

Apparently they don't like the police, and he's got his brother rather convinced that Fulbright is a demon.

Which I can't argue against for several reasons, one of which is far more important than just the fact that Fulbright dislikes me.

[glaciates]

[Do you really have to make him ask?]

...What is it?

[fauxlosophical]

[Oh, don't worry, it's worth it.]

Fulbright is the false seer.

[glaciates]

What? How can you be sure?

[fauxlosophical]

Look at it this way, Isaac - why would the false seer choose to dream about Fulbright instead of me? I was the one making claims at the trial, where it was also brought up that even if I'm lying about my particular gift, all that makes me for certain is a liar, not a demon. And yet they chose Fulbright, who did nothing but argue against me - that might be a valid move if they thought Fulbright was a demon trying to kill the legitimate false seer, but they're the one who would know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was lying and as such that logic doesn't hold water.

So it stands to reason that I would be the logical choice to be dreamed about last night. Yet they didn't.

[His voice remains even through all of this, though his gaze is very, very alive.]

What if our false seer couldn't dream about me last night?

[glaciates]

...He couldn't dream about you last night because we blocked him. That's...

[That's the only way that makes sense. Why else would the False Seer pick Fulbright of all people?]

So if we get rid of him now, that means there aren't any seers left. That'll be a crippling blow.

[For a moment Isaac looks genuinely pleased with this - his eyes are just as alive as Kimblee's - before he manages to get himself under control. If they pull this off, that means Fulbright has to die, not just be put to sleep.]

Precisely.

What I suspect happened last night is this: Fulbright is the only one at the trial who knew I was lying. He wanted to establish his own credibility while destroying mine, so he tried to dream about me last night; we defended ourselves and he found that he couldn't dream about anyone.

However, there's another way he could establish credibility - that being our genuine Seer, Lynne. If he had a vision about someone else, it would only be natural for her to try to test that by dreaming about them tonight; the problem with that is, he knew nothing about anyone else but Mr. Yao. So he named himself, because he knew he would be guaranteed to come back clean.

Meanwhile, he couldn't call me a demon because he didn't know for sure; if it turned out that I was just a liar, his credibility would be ruined.

Fulbright needs to be destroyed either way, we all seem to agree on that; why not do it this way and clear up another shot for tonight?

[glaciates]

That should work perfectly. Though people are going to question why you claimed you were a seer. They might even try to go after you during tomorrow's trial. What are you going to do then?

The fact that we're still alive after last night is a little telling of exactly how competent these people are, isn't it?

...Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean you need to be so... reckless about it. I'm really surprised we aren't dead.
